Here's How Hyundai is Giving Owners Peace of Mind During COV

As a valued customer, we wanted to take this opportunity to update you on our business actions in what are unprecedented times.

In line with instructions from UK Government, Hyundai Motor UK and its Dealer Partners are taking all necessary measures to ensure we act in the best interests of our country at this time.

From the start, we have followed all guidance provided by Public Health England, implementing measures to minimise the risk of infection across our business network, which included closing our head office, asking employees to work from home wherever possible and ensuring that all guidance related to hygiene, self-isolation and social distancing has been practiced.

Now all of our dealers have closed their doors to new and used vehicle sales. Some service centres will remain open, however, to ensure the ongoing service, repair and MOT of emergency and essential service vehicles and the vehicles of key workers.

These actions will, of course, limit our ability to service our customers throughout this period but I am sure that you will understand that they are absolutely imperative at this time.

Below is some information that we hope will be useful for you:

Key workers

As mentioned above, some of our dealerships will keep open their service centres to ensure the ongoing service, repair and MOT of emergency and essential service vehicles and the vehicles of key workers.

If your local dealer is not offering service facilities, please contact Hyundai Customer Service
who will be able to advise.

Customer Service

In the event that you might wish to speak to a member of our customer service team, please be aware that the operating hours have been reduced to maximize the level of service. The core business hours at present are: Monday – Friday 0900 – 1700. Our Customer Service team can be contacted on the following number: 0800 981 981

Car Finance

Rest assured that we understand that these are financially challenging times for us all.

Hyundai Finance have in place a number of measures to assist customers in the repayment of their finance agreements should you be experiencing financial difficulty.

For any queries, worries or concerns, please visit http://www.hyundaifinance.co.uk/coronav ... nd-support where you will find information about what help is available to you as well as contact details and opening times should you wish to speak to someone directly.

Our customers’ individual circumstances will be considered at all times.

Click to Buy

We appreciate that buying a new car may be the furthest thing from your mind right now but we wanted to advise that you will be able to research, configure, get a price for a trade-in and purchase a new car online on our Click to Buy system from April 8, 2020. The link is here: clicktobuy.hyundai.co.uk.

MOT and Warranty extensions

The UK Government has released guidance on extensions to MOT due dates during these challenging times. In many cases, vehicles will have an automatic 6 month extension to complete the annual MOT. The Department for Transport (DfT) is working with insurers and the police to make sure you are not unfairly penalised for not being able to get an MOT.

If your MOT was due before 30th March, please click here.
If your MOT is due after 30th March, please click here.

We are currently working to ensure that no vehicle's warranty is compromised as a result of not being able to carry out routine servicing and will update you in due course.

Service plans

For information related to service plans, please contact Hyundai Customer Service on the number given above.

Vehicle and Parts Supply

All vehicle deliveries to dealership and customers will stop until non-essential movement resumes.

Parts supply remains unaffected at this time.

It is extremely important that we all do whatever is necessary to stop the continued spread of COVID-19 and as a business we will continue to follow all directives from Government and the relevant authorities.

We thank you for your support and wish you and your families continued good health.

Doesn’t affect us in any way as most members won’t use Hyundai dealers anyway
