Lightweight Clutch and Flywheel?

Postby antjh » Sun Sep 20, 2015 7:06 pm

I drove my 2.0 gen3.5 today and noticed that when I floor it usually in fifth gear the revs would go up quicker than the speedo than stop until the speedo caught up then start moving up at a normal pace again.
It's got 95,000 on the clock and think I got it at 70,000 miles so I've taken a guess that it needs a new clutch.
Since it needs replacing is it a good enough reason to get a lightweight Clutch and flywheel,
I've had a search on the forum and I'm not sure if anyone has had it done yet but there seems to be a lot of recommendations against it.
I'm not after the full stage three racing setup just something lighter than Oem.
Could anybody give me a quick run through because I'm not clued up on what I'm talking about so any advice on brands, type, reviews or anything really is very appreciated

You shouldn't need a flywheel just a good clutch
