2004 V6 exhaust

Postby TheStorm » Mon Apr 08, 2019 7:04 am

Hi,
My 2004 V6 has suffered a catastrophic exhaust faliure to the middle section, the flexy pipe has completly separated from the pipe joining into the rear cat. Only place I can find a new part is maindealers, £1100 plus about £200 labour & fitting... Given this as well as some other faults the car is getting (Mainly rust, drop link going on the rear, clutch is on it's way out) I think my only option is retire the beloved poor thing and get a new car.

I have a custom rear section on the exhaust, if I buy a 2.0 SIII will the rear section fit straight on without too much modification or do they have different fittings, mounts & flanges?

I'd love another V6 but given this problem when the exhaust goes again I'll be stuck in the same place again... Does anyone know if Is there an alternative to a maindealer part if I buy another V6 or decide to fix this one.

Thank you..
