Fixed automatic doorlock mallfunctioning GEN3

Postby neosterrr » Sat Feb 15, 2014 10:01 am

So i experienced this problem for a while now. When i tried to lock the door with the remote my indicator lights were blinking as if my doors were locked, but actually they were not. Especially the passenger side (Thats right side in the Netherlands) was malfunctioning.

One day I decided to take them off and apart as far as I was able to go, and i discovered major rust coming out of the electrical gears, i put WD40 in the center of the white cube, i'll try to get some picture of my computer. This temporary fix only lasted a view days as the doors weren't locking anymore after some.

Then i found these door latched on ebay:
Left side:
Ebay Item:281053045586

Right side:
Ebay Item:251258146650

I ordered them and they fir perfectly and they aren't even that expensive i.m.o.

Just want to share this experience with the rest of you in case you encounter the same malfunctioning.

Good job!

This is actually a well known problem, there are a ton of threads about this problem and we even have a DIY on how to replace the actuators ^^
