Hi all! Here are some pics of how the car looked when I got it back in August 2010. I took them on my phone a few days after picking up the car and after giving it a good wash and polish.

Its my first hyundai coupe and love it! :D

Since picking the car up, I have fixed the annoying clock flickering issue (thanks to the guide on here!), fixed the electric aerial as it wouldn't go all the way down (again using a another guide!), and have replaced the orange side repeaters for clear ones - but the weather has been poop after fitting them so havent yet been able to take photos of how it looks now! Have also sent the headrest covers off to thedupleman! :D

Will be looking at getting the spoiler resprayed soon as it needs it!

Let me know what you think guys - cheers Rob

He sure does! Mate go for it with the side repeaters! - does an immediate difference to the appearance of the car, as does changing the amber front and rear indicator bulbs for chrome ones - did that on the car last week!

Had to put the mods on hold till I passed the 6 month probation period at work :(

I did replace the front and rear amber indicator bulbs with chrome ones - in an attempt to try and keep the modding cravings at bay!

Pic of how the car looks - think the chrome bulbs made a big difference to the appearance.

Passed probation! Woohoo! So ordered an induction kit as a late xmas present!

Purchased the CAI kit off Ebay (the £50 one) - Was still in two minds about CAI or SRI when I purchased it, and when the kit arrived I still wasn't happy with the idea of having the air filter in the postion it would be if CAI. So decided to make it more into a SRI kit, cutting the long shiney pipe to get a short straight section with the hole for sensor. Did a quick test fitting, reset the ECU and took it for a drive - found throttle response has certainly improved and love the sound! :D

Here are some pics to show the "crude" fitting to give some idea of how it will look - final positioning, bracket and cold air feed to follow. (Please ignore how dirty the engine bay is! Haven't yet had chance or the right weather to clean it!)

Also managed to get hold of a F2 Evo spoiler for £40 delivered (yep £40!Thanks to Dodge who spotted the breaker on ebay!)

Looks good,

What I did was just use the curved pipe and tucked the sensor into the cone, (under advise from another user (eggy?))

Cheers mate! Yeah, I did ask eggcatcher what he did! Wasnt too sure about tucking the sensor into the cone so thought I'll try another idea! Will see how this goes, if not will resort to the "tuck in" method! ;)

i recently got an f2 evo spoiler for £35 including P&P. so i think we both got great deals. in the process of looking for a shark wing as well. i have got that induction kit on mine, but it is a CAI instead of an SRI. still debating either to leave as a CAI or change it to the SRI. quick question how did you reset the ECU?

To reset the ecu take the negative lead off the battery, press the brake pedal to get rid of the last bit of charge, then re-connect the battery and take it for a drive for about 15 mins, it will reset to your driving style

Yep thats the way - quick and easy to do! The ECU has the ability to 'learn' - When you take it for a drive, drive in your normal fashion. Regulary performing an ECU reset should in theory help to maintain good mpg.

Picked up some F2 alloys at the weekend - £120 All with good tyres! They all have some kerbing on the outer rim, except the spare, which is to be expected given the age of the alloys, and badly need a clean! The centre caps are in need of some attention as the paint has blistered and flaking off.

Spare wheel after a clean.

How it looks against the car.

Been after a set of multispoked alloys for a while and couldn't say no to these given the price and the tyres! Thanks to Dodge who saw these at the breaker's yard and dropped me the guys number.
