Sorry! Here we go!

This is now my spare wheel - to show how kerbed and corroded they were, this is after spending ages cleaning it up! Pic doesn't really show the extent of the kerbing till you look at the edge near the bottom of the pic

Here is one of the four that have been refurbed!

One of the four centre caps - these were really bad

Bit of a teaser pic! How it will look on the wheel - just waiting on the badges!

Gen 3 "H" badges arrived today :D :D (thanks to Gjr-2k11 :D - Legend!!!!)

SAM_0376.JPG

These won't fit on to the centre caps as they are, need to seperate the badges from the plastic backing/mounting - best way I found was to remove the metal ring, grab one of the plastic tabs and pull, pull, pull!

Tip! - Do not try to be gentle and use a screw driver to try and split them apart, this just scratches the badge on the underside!

Here's a pic of how one will look on the centre cap! Think they look sweeeeet and achieve the OEM+ look I'm going for!

The wheels have come up a treat Rob :) , looking forward to seeing them in the flesh at the end of the month, wish I could afford to get mine done, as they are looking a bit worse for wear at the moment, but on the waiting list of things to do, which is for ever getting longer, and never seems to get shorter, ;)

The refurbed wheels look great...

The H badges finish them off nicely.

Only just read through this, what did you do with that other front strut bar? You ever thought of seeing how close it'd be to fitting on the rear? As long as the width of the bar is right, extra holes could be drilled in the ends.

Thanks Guys for the comments!

Eggcatcher - to be honest mate I cant remember what I have done with it, might still be in the garage or got thrown out - didn't think of turning it into a rear strut, like the idea tho!

Hunt it out, width rear corners can't be to different to fronts.

That's a nice Gen1 !! Like the subtle mods you've done. Your F2 alloys now look as good as new! Always really liked the F2 alloys; the widest OEM alloys fitted to any Gen Coupe - at 7.5" :) Even wider than the Evo... Think I might have to get mine refurbed now...

Didn't affect my premium, I'm with Adrian flux with all mods declared, when I call them recently to add the alloys it didn't go up either.

When it comes to mods -declare them! Its not worth the risk.

Think it is time for an update! :D

I bought a ATH kit from TWG Hyundai dealership back in June (yes, that long ago! Big thankyou to Dupe, for posting that the kit was up for grabs). The kit was brand new, sprayed black, wrapped up in its packaging as it was when it left the factory and came with a fixing guide and fixings. Got it delivered and it took up residence in the garage - where it stayed, while I saved up some money. Then things happened (such as life  ) and it got put on the back burner.

Meanwhile the small spot of rust on my sunroof had started to get worse and was really starting to annoy me.

So .................................

Just got the car back today from the bodyshop and managed to take some quick pics before it got dark - I will post up some better ones in daylight and when its had a good clean! :D

Gave the coupe another treat today :)

SAM_0466.JPG

Fitted 8mm blue magnecor leads and Bosch super 4 plugs - took her for a drive and have to say noticed the difference, smoother acceleration and felt more responsive.
