Fuel Filler Cap And Surround Gen 3.5

Postby ravydavy47 » Mon Jun 07, 2010 9:27 pm

A few suggestions would be welcome please.I want to remove the filler cap and its surround,to,either re-paint,or renew with the chrome(imitation)one, which Performance-Coupe sell.Is it as simple as removing the 7 bolts which secure it,pulling it off,and replacing it,or are there any pitfalls awaiting the unwary? Also, what is the bolt type and its size(so I can get the proper screwdriver to remove it)?
If I decide to repaint,I have a can of Halfords aerosol spray, but can I find the laquer topcoat cheaply and easily? Thanks guys,as always.....Dave.
