Do the fuel filters need changing on the 2002 coupe its the one under back seat iv been told it is lifetime can it be cleaned or any thing

You can change it to a walbro high pressure one if you want to, its not difficult.

I would have thought they would need changing as regard the service intervals though.

according to parts shops its a lifetime filter

Still a good idea to change them, as they clog up like the oil filter, although not needed to be changed every service. Every 5-6 years is good enough.

could a clogged fuel filter cause the pump to tick every 5 seconds or so

wouldn't think so, just slow the flow down a bit.

theres a DIY on here or else its on NT.com. apparently its a job best left to your mechanic
