Yeah, a clay will do it. But - dependant on your polish/wax - the white flecks will come back again. And you don't wanna be claying your car all that regularly.
There are two practical solutions really.
1) Learn how to fill in your stone chips, see the link for information
http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/s ... hp?t=20127I'll admit, it takes a brave man to take sandpaper to his own bodywork.
2) Use a 'paint restorer' rather than a polish, and then a coloured wax on top of that.
You don't have to spend a lot of money - you can go to halfords and buy such. I use to use a blue Siminoz colour restorer on my old corsa and it came up an absolute treat. Coloured waxes are a bit harder to come by; the best I think is Dodo Juice - gives a fantastic shine. To the point whereby I don't even need to polish my car. It's expensive at £30 a pot though, but you wont find better quality stuff.
T Cut is most definitely not a paint restorer, as I'm sure you're probably aware.
Avoid Zymol products at all costs. They give good results, but I've never seen more white specks this side of a blizzard.
