Smartwax Demo Videos..

Postby LiDL » Sat Nov 20, 2010 3:55 pm

As you've probably seen, available in the club shop is the smart wax products, these are highly recommended by me as I've been using it for about 2 years now.

There are a number of videos which although aimed at showing you the smartwax products are very useful to learn techniques for claying and what not so I'm going to post them here.

thinking of buying SmartONE because it loooks very easy to wash the car with. How effective is it? does it actually give the same effect as traditional car shampoo, and im guessing it doesnt work if the car is so dirty you can write your name on it?

it'll do it, but you'll use a lot more than usual, this is more of a intermediate wash product, it's great if you're going to a meet.

I've used a similar product to the smartone and if you go to forums like cleanmycar you will get loads of people say no don't use something like that it will scratch your car IT WON'T I promise you, i've used mine loads of times (although if it is really dirty I do give it a quick once over with a powerwasher first to get rid of the big dirty bits) and i've never had a problem.

the key is to wipe in one direction, the problems occur when people don't follow the instructions and rub the dirt back into the paint rather than let the product do it's job.

I used SmartOne for the first time last weekend, and I was amazed at the results, the car looked as if it had been washed and waxed, and it left no scratches that I could see. LiDL also cleaned his car with it (which was quite dirty at the time) and it did the same great job as it had on mine.

Definately recommened, but would be best used for cleaning once you've arrived at a meet

Used Smartone for the first time at Mod Nats - Wow! Really impressed with this product, was quick, easy to use and the shine was awesome! Have to admit I was bit unsure at first about using it - seems strange to just spray on the car and then wipe (in one direction) and then buff, but it really works and left no scratches.

Anyone wondering if you get the same results as traditional washing? While I was doing my car, I was asked by a girl from a different stand if she could borrow the bucket that I used to wash my car, as to her it must have looked like I was just polishing it after a wash. When I told her I didn't have a bucket, she became adament that she will return it if I lend it to her - she gave a funny look when I explained what I was using to wash the car!

Recommend this product!!!!

I would say it is just as good, as after the initial wipe you buff it, just like you would when you polish.

Here's some pics of the "shine" after using it on my car at mod nats 8-)
