opened my bonnet the other day to find this cable tucked in between the driver side headlight and the window washer bottle.

i had a look around and couldn't see any connection that it should go into.
everything seems to be running and working fine.

Any ideas? its a bit odd that i only noticed it after 3 years and ive even had my headlights out a good 4 times and never noticed it before.

Dunno, but these things are not uncommon. I had a similar one on my gen1, round by the inlet plenum... Might be a factory test point or something similar???

could be, i suppose or something that wasnt installed?

nope 1.6

probably is just a random plug. just odd that i never noticed it before!

well the looms do seem to be the same for our and the korean coupes so theres a chance its for some unavailable option like how the heated seats are prewired and just need the pads and the switch.

does the 1.6 come with the little dial to adjust the headlight level? if not the cable could be for the motor on the headlights maybe?

yeah it dose, i might check that alright see if its still working. it is just the right length to go into the light, maybe im blind

I have that cable as well. Mines tied to the headlight cable, never found a use for it.

ah really, sweet, must just be some random thing the 1.6 doesn't have but was still included in the wiring loom

I had a look under the bonnet of my 2.0L today for you. I couldn't find any unused wires/connections.

I mean I'm off my head/confused at the best of times but the only thing it looked like it could be was a connection for the radiator fan (can't see from photo)? But surely the 1.6's have this?

yeah it dose alright, there havent been any over heating issues or anything
