Air con not working

Postby Rgray99c » Sun Feb 19, 2012 3:50 pm

So went to check air con yesterday and it wasnt working, by that i mean no colder air coming from it when airt con is turned on. Ive checked the compressor and its not turning with the engine, so i found the relay for it and "hotwired it" sure enough the compressor started turning, still no cold air, but ive checked everything electrically and seems ok. There anything else i can check before taking it to stealers, i used to have a hose which i could check pressure with, but that has since dissapeared since i "modified it" for my last car. There any sensors or anything that i can test first? cheers.

No sensors that I know about. when my aircon stopped working I got it checked out for about £30, turned out I had a crack in the radiator for it so ended up costing a bit more but all good now :D

They recommend you get the air con serviced/re gassed every 2 years. Lots of places do it now.
